Je to už cez týždeň, čo tu máme krásny veletrh s ručnými prácami z celého Portugalska.

Priznám sa, do stánku ProjectoA2 som vstúpila hneď niekoľko krát, tak krásna je ich tvorba. Okrem nádherných ručne maľovaných kachličiek ma oslovili aj ich designové dekorácie pre útulný domov, či maľované obrázky Malého Princa.

It has been over a week since we have in our town a wonderful handicraft products fair, with artisans coming from all over Portugal. I confess, that the stand of ProjectoA2 has caught my attention so I visited it several times, to admire their beautiful creations. In addition to the beautiful hand painted tiles, Iwas charmed by their design and decoration for any cozy home and fascinated by the painted pictures motives of Little Prince.

Keď som navštívila stánok ProjectoA2 s odhodlaním požiadať majiteľku o malé interview, uvedomila som si, že je to presne tá milá pani, ktorá nám venovala čas pročas workshopu. Moje nadšenie bolo ešte väčšie a dnes už viem, že je to Cristina Vilarinho, ktorá má zlaté ruky a spolu s jej dnes už bývalým manželom Albertom Azevedo-m, vlastnia ProjectoA2, kde spoločne tvoria v "dokonalej symbióze", ako povedala Cristina.

Do you remember how my husband and I attended a workshop about painted tiles? (to read the article, please click here). When I visited the stand of ProjectoA2, determined to ask the owner for a small interview, I was happy to realize that it was exactly the same lady who lectured us during the workshop. My enthusiasm was even greater and today I know that her name is Cristina Vilarinho. With her golden hands, and with her now former husband Alberto Azevedo, they own ProjectoA2, forming a "perfect symbiosis," as Cristina said.

Alberto vytvára formy, základy, sochy, krásne vyrezáva a Cristina vdýchne život dokonalou ručnou maľbou. Prácu majú krásne podelenú a prepracovanú do detailov.

Alberto creates forms, bases, statues, beautiful carved and molded while Cristina brings them to life with her perfect and wonderful hand painting. Their work is harmoniously divided between them resulting in a beautiful and elaborate detail.

Sú to vyštudovaní profesionáli, svojmu remeslu sa rozumejú nielen z odborného a profesného hľadiska, ale prácu robia hlavne srdcom. V ich tvorbe má každý kus dušu, je to unikátny originál, ktorý vás hneď osloví svojim nadčasovým designom a elegantnou jednoduchosťou.

V ich tvorbe nájdete kolekcie, ktoré sú vyjadrením danej témy. Je nádherné vidieť ako sa dá zhmotniť láska ako emócia, ženskosť či poézia. Sú tiež vyjadrením prepojení, ktoré spájajú nás všetkých.

They are trained professionals, their craft is meant for educational and professional purposes but their work is mostly the result of their passion for what they do. In their works, each piece has soul, with unique original shapes that appeal to a timeless design and elegant simplicity.

In their creations you will find collections that are an expression of several themes. It is wonderful to see how love can materialize as an emotion, femininity and poetry. They are also an expression of the links that connect us all.

Do svojej tvorby sa Cristina a Alberto snažia  zakomponovať portugalskú tradíciu, ikony portugalskej kultúry, znaky lásky, ženstva, histórie či slobody.
Prepájajú to modernou formou do novodobého nadčasového umenia.

In their work Cristina and Alberto try to incorporate Portuguese tradition, icons of Portuguese culture, as well as symbols of love, womanhood, history or freedom.

They connect contemporary forms with the art of timeless traditions.

ProjectoA2 sa zúčastňuje aj internacionálnych veletrhov ručných prác napríklad v Taliansku, Španielsku, Nemecku a samozrejme ich rodnom Portugalsku. Radi by prezentovali svoju prácu za hranicami rodnej zeme častejšie, avšak pre nedostatok finančných prostriedkov to zatiaľ nie je možné.

ProjectoA2 also attends international trade fairs of handicraft products in countries such as Italy, Spain, Germany and of course their native Portugal. They would like to present their work beyond their homeland more frequently, but due to lack of funding that is not possible yet.

Diela, ktorých motiváciou bola príroda. Čistá línia s unikátnými tvarmi, ktoré ponúka oceán a jeho podmorský svet alebo bohaté portugalské lesy.

Works whose motivation was nature. Pure lines with a unique shape that offers a diversity such as the ocean and its underwater world or the beauty of Portuguese forests.

Kolekcia "Krídla nad svetom", patrí hlavne poézii, slovu, hudbe, myšlienke a emócii. Známe osoby portugalskej kultúry ktoré sú jej dušou a svojou jedinečnosťou ju obohatili.

Collection "Wings over the world", are mainly expressions of poetry, words, music, thoughts and emotions. It's enriched by the soul and uniqueness of Portuguese culture and its people's traditions.

Kolekcia venovaná Malému Princovi, napísaná Antoine Sainte Exupéry, sprevádzala snáď nás všetkých počas našeho detstva. Príbehy Malého princa a jeho inšpirujúce zážitky Cristina zachytila na porcelán ako dekoračné predmety váz či obrázkov, ktoré krásne vyniknú napríklad aj v detskej izbičke.

The collection dedicated to the fable Little Prince, written by Antoine Saint Exupery, takes us to a well know story of our collective childhood. Stories of the Little Prince and his inspiring experiences were caught by Cristina in porcelain decorative vases or pictures which will beautifully stand out, for example, in a child's bedroom.

 Kolekcia dedukovaná Santo Antonio (Svätému Antoniovi), ktorý je v Portugalsku známy ako ochránca zvierat, liečiteľ, strážca dobrých manželstiev a ochránca duší.

The collection dedicated to Santo Antonio (St. Antony), which is known in Portugal as protector of animals, healer, guardian of good marriages and protector of souls.

Portugalsko je vo svete známe krásnou ručne maľovanou tvorbou pálených kachličiek, známe ako Azulejos,  ktorých počiatky siahajú do arabskej okupácie Portugalska. Prvé farby a dizajny sú ovplyvnené až z ďalekého orientu, vďaka objaviteľom sveta, ktorí ich priniesli spolu s exotickými koreninami. Zhruba do 17.storočia boli najviac používané farby žltá, modrá a hnedá a od 18.storočia je to prevažne modrá. Najviac maľované vzory sú hlavne náboženskej tematiky a tradičného portugalského života.

Portugal is world famous, among other things, by its beautiful hand-painted creations of clay tiles, known as azulejos ( dating back to the Arab occupation of the territory). Its colors and designs were influenced by the far Orient trade, thanks to the navigators odyssey that brought wealth from exotic spices. Until about the 17th century, the most used colors were yellow, blue and brown, and from the 18th century forward blue became prominent. Most artisans painted mainly religious themes and traditional Portuguese life
